You will hear in the video's that if there is internet access in a town, there is trafficking.
What do you know about human trafficking? Most feel that if they ignore it, it won't happen to anyone they love or "it isn't something that happens here". I have news for you, it happens all over the world, including rural communities just like ours. Do you know how to spot it or how it begins?
Human trafficking isn't someone snatching your child up in a shopping area or out of your front yard, it happens usually by someone the child knows. Traffickers build trust and a confidence with the child, pulling them away slowly until they have full control. The average age for sex trafficking is 12 years old. Human trafficking is a multibillion dollar a year business.
HOW DO WE COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING?
EDUCATE EDUCATE EDUCATE! Educate yourselves and educate your children. Be open and up front with them because it is better that they know than to get caught up in it.

It is imperative from the time of beginning menstruation throughout the lifespan for a woman to have an exam yearly. This could include a breast exam, vaginal exam, health history, scheduled mammogram, pap smears, and many other topics that pertain to women. Women are worth it and regardless of anything you deserve to stay healthy!

Working to educate the community on sexually transmitted infections(STI) (formerly STD) is one of our important tasks. There are a multitude of STI's that go undetected until the spread reaches someone who develops symptoms. STI's can affect health in many ways including causing infertility. We test for STI's including but not limited to chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, HIV, Hepatitis C, and syphilis. Both men and women should be screened annually for STI's. Confidentiality is of upmost importance and information is protected according to HIPAA.
